A Home for Hermit Crab

On Thursday it’s our concert. This musical was adapted from the story “A House for Hermit Crab’ by Eric Carle.  The book is in our library.  We have sea anemones, sea stars, sea snails, lanternfish and two hermit crabs.  As the year goes by the first hermit crab grows and different sea creatures come to live on and around his shell.  When he grows too big he gives his home to a smaller hermit crab to live in while the bigger hermit crab moves on to find a bigger empty shell to live in.  We have made costumes, learnt dances and songs and parts to tell the story.  Today we made more invitations for our family and friends.  We are looking forward to Thursday!

We weren’t that nervous but some of us were. The concert was exciting and lots of people came to watch us.
I hope you had a good time doing your play as well. We hope you weren’t nervous either. All the parents would have thought you were fantastic.
